Tues., February 10, 2009 - MHJB performs "Jazz Sampler for Sweethearts"
at Comma

Sat., Feb. 14, 2009 - I perform on piano in a combo at Carson Mall for the opening
of the Wedding Emporium, 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., with Gerry Wright on soprano and baritone
saxophone, Jacki Montgomery on guitar, George Worth on bass, and Dennis Steele on drums.
Sun., Feb. 22, 2009 - I conduct the Carson City Symphony - 4 p.m., Bob Boldrick Theater in the
Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St., Carson City -
Symphony featuring guest soloist Dan Barrett.
The program includes Felix Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture (Fingal's Cave);
Eric Ewazen's Concerto for Bass Trombone or Tuba and Orchestra, with guest soloist
Dan Barrett on bass trombone; Robert Schumann's Symphony No. 1 ("Spring"), and
Hugh Downs' "An Elegiac Prelude in A Minor" (performed in memory of Alan Lee Harvey).

Tues., March 10, 2009 - The Mile High Jazz Band and vocalist Sheryl Adams will
be joined by local poets for a lively evening of big-band jazz music and poetry.
The topic, "Q & A," will be presented at Comma
Coffee on Tuesday, March 10, 8:00
to 10:00 p.m., and all are welcome. Comma Coffee, 312 S. Carson Street, is
across the street from the state legislature building in Carson City.
Admission is $5 general and free for age 18 and under. Swing dance instruction
from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. is $5 additional.

Coffee - 8 to 10 p.m., Admission: $5 admission,

Thurs., April 16, 2009 - Millennium Bugs plays at Eagle Valley Golf Course
7:30-9:30 p.m. (Assessors' conference - private engagement)
The Carson City Symphony, directed by David Bugli, will perform two concerts--Saturday,
April 25, 2009, 7:30 p.m., at the Carson City Community Center, and Sunday, April 26,
2009, 4:00 p.m.,
at the Oats Park Arts Center in Fallon. The concerts feature soloist Gregory Maytan
in Violin Concerto No. 1, by Nicolo Paganini, and the premiere performances of
Birkat haChama (Blessing on the Sun) by Steven Rosenhaus, conducted by the
composer. The program also includes "Masks" and "Montagues and Capulets"
from Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev, and Symphony No. 2 by Alexander Borodin.

Fri., May 22, 2009 - Millennium Bugs play for wedding reception at St. Teresa of Avila
Church in Carson City.
Sat., May 23, 2009 - I played tuba in Dayton, Nev., -- along with Mark
Lord and Christina L. Quigley on trumpets
and Dean Carter on trombone -- for the taping of a movie about micronations. I also arranged
part of the music. For an account

June 14, 2009 - Carson City Symphony - its 25th
annual "Pops Party Concert" -
The beautiful back lawn of the Governor's Mansion is the site of the Carson City
Symphony's twenty-fifth annual "Pops Party" concert on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at 4:00 p.m.
The program features the Carson City Symphony, Carson Chamber Singers, "Strings in
the Schools" youth orchestra, and guest soloist CeCe Gable
whose exciting, jazzy
vocal style thrills music fans throughout northern Nevada. Admission is free. The
Symphony, directed by David Bugli, will play show tunes, marches, and more.
Included are compositions by Leroy Anderson, Richard Rodgers, and Morton
Gould. A highlight of the show will be David Bugli's arrangement for CeCe
Gable of "Like a Lover," a tender bossa nova tune by Dori Caymmi. The
"Pops Party" concert will be Gable's second appearance with the Carson City Symphony.
The Carson Chamber Singers, directed by Judy Monson, will sing a variety
of selections. The Symphony's youth orchestra, directed by Sue Kitts, will
play a variety of folk, fiddle, and mariachi tunes. Admission is free.

Sat., July 4, 2009 - 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - I perform with the
Treadway Ensemble (Dan Lancaster on
clarinet, Mark Lord on cornet, Jacki Montgomery on
guitar, and me on bass trombone and
keyboard) for the rededication of
Treadway Park, at the
intersection of N. Minnesota Street and W. William Street, east of
the former Carson-Tahoe Hospital. Featuring music of the late 1800s.
Sat., July 4, 2009 I sing with the
Carson Chamber Singers in a performance
with the Reno Philharmonic on the Sierra Philharmonic League's
"Pops in the Park" Concert at Mormon Station State Park,
Genoa, NV. Free concert starts at 4:30 p.m.
Tues., July 14, 2009 - Mile High Jazz Band performs "Ladies Sing the Blues," featuring the
big band backing notable female singers in a not-to-be-missed event on Tuesday,
July 14, 8:00, to 10:00 p.m., at Comma Coffee in Carson City. Comma Coffee,
312 S. Carson Street, is across the street from the state legislature building.
General admission is $5 at the door, and free for age 18 and under.
Singers Sheryl Adams, June Joplin, Karen Chandler, and Lainey Henderson
will sing some of their favorite standards and jazz
tunes. The performance is funded, in part, by a grant from the
Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts,

Saturday, July 25, 2009 - The Millennium Bugs, with singer Jakki Ford,
perform for Tastevins, Jazz & Libations, at benefit for the Terry Lerud Memorial Foundation,
at Sommerset Club House, Reno, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., to raise funds to complete the healing
garden at the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center.

music festival.

for the Carson City Historical Society at the Roberts House

"Jazz Carson City - Music Festival"
Aug, 21-23, 2009
This summer, the annual summer jazz festival, renamed "Jazz! Carson
City," moves downtown with "core" dates August 21-23. Come to see and hear several
days of fine jazz in downtown
Carson City, on Third Street, Comma Courtyard, the Farmers Market area, and other

on piano
with Two-Plus (Dan Lancaster on reeds, Tom Stryker on harmonica, George Worth on
bass, and Mark Ashworth on drums).

Sat., Aug. 29, 2009 - 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Reno I perform
on piano with Ross Price on reeds, Gary Allen on bass, and Dave Riegert on drums for a
private party.

Mon., Sept. 14, 2009 - The Carson City Music Club presents
"David Bugli and Friends,"
performing jazz for the CCMC monthly meeting at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, 511 West
King St., Carson City. I will be playing piano, and joining me are Dan Lancaster on reeds, Tom
Stryker on harmonica, Gerry Wright on soprano sax, George Worth on bass, and Mark Ashworth
on drums. The concert starts at 7:00 p.m. Call 882-9517 for information about admission charge.

Carson City Symphony concert to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) in Reno at 10:00 a.m.
Sun., Oct. 25, 2009, 4:00 p.m., Carson City Community Center - I conduct the
Carson City Symphony concert featuring
Swedish pianist Carl Petersson in the U.S.
premiere of Concerto No. 2 by Freidrich von Flotow, and the world premiere
of "By Walden Pond" by Gwyneth Walker, narrated by Lee Warner. Johann Strauss'
"Tales of the Vienna Woods" and Franz von Suppe's "The Beautiful Galatea" Overture
are also on the program.
November 2009
Tues., Nov. 10, 2009 - Mile High Jazz Band performs

male vocalists - 8:00 to 10:00 p.m., Admission: $5 admission,
FREE age 18 and under
Sat., Nov. 21, 2009 - I conducted the Ruby Mountain
Symphony in at concert at 7:00 p.m. at the Elko County Convention Center. The concert
featured country singer Lacy J. Dalton, who performed seven of my arrangements
of her classic tunes. A video of this can be found at

The audio quality is not very good, but will give you a flavor of the concert.
